## FAQ

Is there a web version of KiCad?

PCBJam is the real KiCad, compiled to WebAssembly and running in your browser. Not a viewer, not a rewrite: the schematic editor, the PCB editor, DRC, the 3D viewer and Gerber export.

Can I share a KiCad project with someone who does not have KiCad?

Yes. Publish the project or send an invite link. They open it in a browser, on a desktop or on a phone in viewer mode.

Does it work on a Chromebook, an iPad or a phone?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox work today, on desktops and Chromebooks, and viewer mode works on Android phones and tablets. Safari, iPhone and iPad wait on a WebAssembly feature (JSPI) that Apple has scheduled for its September 2026 Safari release. Mobile editing is on the roadmap.

Am I locked in?

No. PCBJam reads and writes KiCad's own file format. Export any time and keep working in desktop KiCad.
